Happy Birthday Anita

After recovering from the day spent roaming Jersey Gardens, we decided to go and sort out tickets for a show tonight to celebrate Anita's birthday. Getting to Times Square to queue at the TKTS booth. Being from the London area, one thing I missed in London was the chance to get to the west end to catch a show. We ended with great tickets for "The Phantom of the Opera". Even with a Japanese tourist fall asleep on my shoulder, the show was fantastic.

New York, New York

Having discovered that Anita is pregnant, we decided to get one last jaunt away while we still can. In the tradition of being out of Ireland for her Birthday we ended up in New York.

Stayin in Tribeca, we woke this morning and headed down to ground zero to pay our respects to the victims of 9/11. With a few demostration's happening we headed down to take the ferry tour to Ellis Island & the Status Of Liberty. It was a great tour and showed how the millions of immigrants came into the United States. The ferry trip gave us a wonderful view of the manhattan skyline, albeit without the iconic towers that we all still miss

The city that never sleeps......

My sister gave birth to her second girl today. Spoke with Jo & baby Millie is doing good. Its a shame cause we are heading to NY tomorrow. At least we know what sex to buy baby clothes for.
